I guess it would be inappropriate, but we really need a "woody" icon for times like this.

Kotaku just posted the price for the new DLC which includes two old maps from cod4 (crash, and overgrown) for the low low price of 1200 ms points or $15 dollars. I am seriously on the fence for this if alot of us get it then I will to but 15 dollars for 5 maps two of which are from cod4 anyway. Seems that we should get more for our money than three new maps. Am I alone on this??

I'm annoyed by this. Activision is probably banking on the success of MW2 and figured that we'll pony up the additional cost for the 5 maps (2 old ones). I don't think it's worth it. And considering the huge number of MW2 owners, even if the % of people by the maps drops off from WaW or MW, it's still probably more in the end with the bump in price. Remember, Activision is pricing the maps, not IW. Maybe that's why IW leadership bailed. They are developers at heart and Activision is all about the bottom line. Who knows. In the end, I'll still probably buy the maps if the rest of APG does. APG, go pick up Battlefiled Bad Company 2... their new maps are free.

I paid to play WoW for 3.5 years almost $17\month this is a drop in the bucket relatively. I am sure most people will pay. I know I will.

I spent $15 yesterday buying ice cream for the family at McDonalds and that was probably the cheapest thing I bought that day. Yeah I am buying it.

I think that really sucks. 800 MS points seemed to be a good price and hate to see the price going up because it is probably the 1st step. However, I will say that as much as I play this game, if the maps are even the least bit decent, I will get more than $15 worth of play out of them. Like George said, I am sure his ice cream only lasted 10 minutes (would have only lasted 5 in Florida) and was probably mnore than $15.

The way I figure it, MW2(the whole COD line really) saves me a ton of money. Nowadays I basically buy the COD game that comes out each year and the occassional map packs and thats about it. Before I might have bought a couple of games in a given year plus rented several others. Already its saving me money. So I shell out $60 for the game, $50 for an xbox live 12 month membership, and $10 - $30 for mappacks. I play about 8 -10 hours a week. So thats $130 for 450 hours of entertainment a year, basically $.30 an hour. I can't think of any else I do that is cheaper then that.
