I love MW2 And I wasn't a big fan of the BF2 series after Battlefield 2. But this new game mode really made BC2 multiplayer really fun. You have to capture 2 nodes or defend the nodes depending on which side you're on. But each map is the size of a MW2 map.. And then when the 2 nodes are destroyed it opens up another part of the map. So the combat scenerio is constantly changing with all the building being blown up and all. Its fun and it does bring everyone into the action. For run and gunners this is great for you, for snipers its great also, head shot = kill in softcore. And you really have to play as a squad, reviving dead team mates, healing, resupplying, snipers, etc.. its really neat. Fresco adn I play Rush only, so if for anyone who picked it up give me a shout we'll play some

I've been playing a lot of this. The vehicles and team-based combat rewards make it really fun.
If you see me online playing this then invite me to a game or ping me and let's get on a squad and team together. I play both the Rush and CTF gametypes. Scores tend to be better in CTF but I'm getting the hang of Rush. I was on a squad with a buddy and we put up some monster scores this past weekend. You can't really lone-wolf it and expect to win in this game; you need a team to work with so you can at least spawn close to the fight.
We had different strategies depending on the map and game type, and if we were attacking or defending. Usually we ran engineer/medic, engineer/engineer or medic/assault. I'm still working out which loadouts are the best. I'll do a separate post about that for feedback.

Finally we're keeping this forum alive!
Ovurt, Fresco and I played some RUSH last night, itwas pretty fun. Especially watching Ovurt own those tanks when I tag em with the tracers.
Sorry Ovurt that you didn't get to see the more fun side of the game, things were a little slow. I find it gets like that around 11pm - 12am ish.... When you have full rooms its really fun!
@Dorkout:
I find RUSH totally awesome! Yeah I do agree that you can't just one man team it, and you need a squad to get things done. I think that is why I love this game. With all that fireteam talk I've been posting I think BC2 allows it to be used here.
I play medic, and it'll be nice to see more variety in a squad. It'll be soo fun!
I find Assault/medic, Medic/Engineer/ Medic/Medic really good combos for a 2 man team.
PM me if you're playing RUSH.. I'm game!

I saw you, Fresco & Ovurt online when I logged in last night and I would have joined your game but I was with my buddy A Bluefin Tuna (that is his new name - xbox banned his old name) and didn't think it made sense to try and wedge into your team.
it would have been really cool to get a 5 person party on the same team but a bummer for the 5th guy b/c he wouldn't be on the squad. I think it's got to be 4 or 6, so that the other 2 guys can squad up and exploit that advantage. Also, I think the comms are party-based, so if we are in a party everyone can talk to each other even if not on same squad. Haven't tested that yet though.
We ended up picking up Wink and had some good times playing Rush. Mostly it was me, Tuna and Wink doing the heavy lifting because our team sucked (and I mean really sucked) and also we had fewer guys on our team, so we didn't do that great. We had a lot of fun though.
Usually we had a recon guy and a medic and an engineer, although medic/engineer/assault is pretty good, or even medic/engineer/medic. it's great to have a medic b/c being able to revive guys is a huge bonus. Plus: 80 pts if you revive a squad member! It's the easiest points in the game aside from fixing a vehicle your squadmate is driving. Typical strategery is for one guy to hang back and hold down a spot and the other two guys to get in and try to take the crate. With a full squad working together you can really shift the balance of the game.
I need to get better at c4 with the recon guy. I don't use it enough and it's effective.
I just unlocked the M60 for the medic. The iron sights suck so I used my special kit to put a red dot sight on it and it's pretty good - slow fire rate but high damage and high accuracy. Drawback is that I can't use any of my other medkit bonuses when I'm using the red dot, but with the M60 I think I'll just forgo it.

That was fun last night with Boomer and Fresco. And as usual, I get no respect. "OVurt! Just stay alive so we can respawn next to you. Just 5 more seconds. Just stay alive!" All you cared about was me being a tactical insertion. But it was my first time playing Rush and I was kind of lost there for a bit. And watching that RPG home in on a tagged tank is pretty cool. And we found out that an RPG won't follow your teammate if you tag them. "Run Fresco... run!" Darn.

The maps are much bigger than MW2, and in Rush they change at each stage, so figuring out where to go is difficult at first. The first couple times I played I spent most of the time looking the wrong way. After you get the hang of some workable strategies then you can find a comfortable spot and enjoy yourself. Another bummer is that the early guns aren't very good. The m249 is pretty good (medic), and the SCAR-L (engineer) but you don't get them until after you level up a couple times. So you're at a disadvantage.

Yeah we kinda exploited you a little bit.... If you felt like a cheap escort girl it wasn't really our intentions lol! But you were so good at staying alive!!! I missed you the last couple days!

Dorkout,
We could always jump into a game with multiple people in different groups.. Just use party chat.. Something that MW2 did not allow... So having multiple squads shouldn't be a problem.
I still keep reminessing about the time we spent and entire game in the Blackhawk just mowing down people!!! It was such a classic!!!
we should definately try to get a bigger group going... and I finally figured out how to lock on with RPGs.... Finally!
For some reason.. When I use the G3 with the assault kit.. I get to have a C4 as a gadget.. So it comes in pretty handy when I need to blow up the nodes and keep it stealthy... Sometimes you just need to do that when your team sucks and its only you and another person capturing the nodes...
